Expansion of Legal Aid Services to Underserved Municipalities
Request for Applications (RFA) No. 001
USAID Justice Activity in Kosovo (the project), implemented by Chemonics International, is seeking grant applications for implementation of Expansion of Legal Aid Services to Underserved Municipalities. The grants will be awarded and implemented in accordance with USAID and US Government regulations governing grants under contracts and Justice Activity in Kosovo’s internal grant management policies. The Project has three main objectives:
- Quality and Accessibility of Justice Services Improved
- Citizen Understanding, Engagement, and Trust of the Justice System Improved
- Effective Innovations in the Justice Sector Developed
Justice Activity will consider awarding up to two grants to Kosovo based qualified Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) and/or Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) to provide sustainable legal aid services within the municipalities of Shtërpce/Štrpce, Novobërdë/Novo Brdo, Ranillug/Ranilug, Partesh/Parteš and Mamushë/Mamuşa/Mamuša. The objective of the activity is to ensure that some, but preferably all, of these previously underserved or not served at all municipalities have continuing access to legal aid services.
To qualify for consideration, interested organizations are required to complete a full grant application and other annexes according to the eligibility criteria and detailed instructions for applications which can be requested by email to the following address:
