Call for expression of Interest
The Deutsche Gesellschaft fur Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, mandated by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), is seeking translation and interpretation services. GIZ Kosovo currently employs 23 international employees, 174 national employees and 2 (two) Integrated Experts which cover different fields. GIZ advises and supports Kosovo in its efforts to achieve political stability and democracy based on the rule of law. As part of this process, support includes programmes which boost the economy, improve the education system, build a decentralised public administration, promote energy transition and reduce youth unemployment. The overarching long-term goal is Kosovo’s accession to the European Union (EU).
The checklist below provides further information about the conditions and expectations of GIZ Kosovo. Based on the responses to this Request for Information, GIZ will pre-qualify companies that will then be sent a Request for Proposal (RFP) and will be formally invited to submit more detailed proposals. Response to the RFI (Request for Information) does not necessarily imply that the company will receive the tender papers.
Based on the outcome of the RFP, the GIZ will offer a contract to the company selected. Please note that all correspondence and dealing with the GIZ must be in English.
REQUEST FOR INFORMATION
- Proof of experience. The company should have at least 5 years of experience in the field of Translation and interpretation
- Proof of expertise. The company should provide the Curriculum Vitae (CV) of their lead translator group.
- The company should provide the names of three (3) reference clients with whom they have provided a similar work as required by the GIZ. One of the references provided should be a client that has contracted the company within the last 18 months. The company should note that references may be contacted by the GIZ at any time.
