Tasks and Responsibilities:

Under general supervision of the Chief of Mission Security and direct supervision of the Senior Situation Centre Assistant, the incumbent will be carrying out the following duties:

1. Collecting from various sources and disseminating information on daily bases on security incidents or events, which may affect the security and safety of the Mission;

2. Ensures all activities and events are recorded and shift reports are accurate and complete in order to serve as basis for daily reports and drafts security incident reports, when required. 

3. Organizing and leading the Security Monitors on his/her respective shift located in HQ and Logistic Base and monitoring performance of the outsourced physical security guards. Ensuring that CCTV, Security systems, Radio operation, access in the Mission’s premises are well functioning at all times.

4. Assisting in fire prevention and earthquake or bomb threat safety measures and procedures. Under instructions will be conducting fire safety assessments and inspections, providing support on building evacuation drills, and assisting in updating of fire/earthquake and bomb threat evacuation plans and maintaining of fire prevention system and equipment;

5. Performing other duties as assigned.

Necessary Qualifications:

  • Completed secondary education. Specialized training in Security Management, security amylases first-aid trainings, firefighting, are desirable
  • Valid driving license B is mandatory. Driving licence C is desirable
  • Minimum three years of experience in security and safety area, with Situation Centre and Operations planning experience
  • Computer literate with practical experience with Microsoft packages and applications;
  • Knowledge on the use of CCTV and GPS tracking software, radio communication, physical security, databases and processing of information
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English language, and good knowledge of Albanian and Serbian languages
  • Ability to work with people of different nationalities, religions, and cultural backgrounds
  • Demonstrates gender awareness and sensitivity, and an ability to integrate a gender perspective into tasks and activities.

Remuneration Package:

Monthly remuneration, subject to social security deductions is 934.58 Euro/month. Social benefits will include participation in the OSCE group medical insurance scheme and the OSCE Provident Fund.

Appointments are normally made at step 1 of the applicable OSCE salary scale. At the discretion of the appointing authority a higher step may be approved up to a maximum of step 3 subject to specific conditions.
