Call for expressions of interest(EoI)
The Office of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo and the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development of the Federal Republic of Germany, in 2018, agreed on the planned establishment of the Kosovar-German Innovation and Training Park Prizren (ITP). ITP Prizren will combine local and international companies, vocational training, academic institutions, government institutions, and non-governmental organizations. By decision of the Government of Kosovo, GIZ has the mandate to maintain, secure, and manage the former KFOR Camp and develop the camp into the Innovation and Training Park.
The Mission of the German KFOR troops in Prizren has ended as of January 2019. The German Bundeswehr has vacated Prizren Base Camp at the beginning of 2019, and the premises have been handed over to the owner of the land, respectively the Republic of Kosovo. To make use of the remaining infrastructure of the camp, the Kosovar Government, together with the German Government, have decided that the camp area should become a civilian hub for future Kosovar –German cooperation. On 5 March 2018, a Joint Declaration of Intent was signed between the Office of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo and the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development of the Federal Republic of Germany on the planned establishment of a Kosovar-German Innovation and Training Park Prizren (ITP).
ITP is looking for an experienced consultancy company to support the project in envisioning the spatial development of the park and draft the spatial development concept for the area of ITP, as input to the draft-detailed urban regulatory plan (DURP) of ITP.
The checklist below provides further information about the conditions and expectations of the GIZ/ITP project. Based on responses to this Request for Information, GIZ will pre-qualify companies that will receive an Inquiry and will be formally invited to submit their offers with detailed specifications. Response to the RFI (Request for Information) does not necessarily imply that your company will receive the GIZ's "Request to support ITP to draft spatial development concept for the Innovation and Training Park in Prizren.
Based on the qualification as per EoI, GIZ/ITP project will send the ToR for the second phase of the selection process. Please note that all correspondence and dealings with the GIZ must be English.
REQUEST FOR INFORMATION
1) Proof of company's legal status (registration and/or certification documentation), company details (name, postal address, bank information), date of incorporation within their initial response.
2) Companies should submit at least one municipal spatial planning document (Municipal Development Plan, Urban Development Plan, Urban Regulatory Plan) required by the GIZ/ITP project. Companies should note that the GIZ/ITP project may contact referees at any time.
Interested companies are invited to submit an expression of interest in English language.
