UNDP Kosovo is seeking a Local Consultant for designing the detailed program and related exercises for team work on the office retreat, as well as facilitating the implementation of the program. The retreat will take place from 04 May 2022 -06 May 2022 in Kosovo.

The 2022 retreat is a significant program for the office, where the whole team is coming together after a long period of working remotely.
The gathering marks an opportunity to jointly discuss “What is the UNDP that we want to work for?”, as the world is adapting to the new COVID reality.

 

Objectives of Assignment
The Local Consultant will be engaged to design and provide a 2-day team building program for the UNDP Kosovo staff, with the aim to enhance the connection to the workplace and related impact in the community, work-life balance, inter-personal communication, and team dynamics.

The office has designed the broad framework for the retreat, and the Consultant is expected to develop the program based on the overall thinking of the office.
The retreat should include a combination of activities that contribute to ensuring a joint vision for the organization and team, as well as creating a positive atmosphere of team building, taking pride in own and understanding each other`s work, as well as the overall team performance.

Therefore, the overall responsibility of the consultant is to:

  • Design a two-day team building program for all UNDP staff to include interactive activities around the main training aims;
  • The consultant will be expected to provide a detailed program, agenda and activities for the retreat based on the general framework created by the office staff. The program must be submitted at least by 22 April 2002, to provide enough time for the potential inputs and revisions, and to ensure an approved program before the beginning of May;
  • Implement the training, providing facilitation as well as all necessary material and equipment.
  • Deliver a report that will outline the findings, no later than 7 days after the training.

The emphasis is on working together and having fun with less focus on competition.

The Facilitator will moderate the sessions and draft a final report capturing their outcomes.

The retreat will be attended by approximately 70 participants.

 

Duties and Responsibilities
The expert shall work under direct supervision of the Deputy Resident Representative and in consultation with the Retreat task force to deliver the assigned responsibility as per ToR requirement.

 

Deliverables/Outputs

  1. Design a two-day team building program for UNDP staff and provide a detailed program, agenda and activities for the retreat based on the general framework created by the office staff (estimated date of completion 25 April 2022)
  2. Implement the training, providing facilitation as well as all necessary material and equipment; moderate the program, coordinating speakers, and participants. Facilitate and analyze participants’ feedback based on survey tools, such as polls. Debriefing session with the organizers during the retreat as may be necessary (estimated date of completion 04 May 2022 – 06 May 2022)
  3. Deliver a report that will outline the findings (estimated date of completion 13 May 2022)

 

Remuneration - Lump Sum Amount
The Contract is based on lump sum remuneration and shall be processed subject to deliverables as per the schedule listed below:

  • First Installment 50% of the contract value upon successful completion and validation of deliverable 1
  • Second Installment 40% of the contract value upon successful completion and validation of deliverable 2
  • Third installment 10% upon successful completion and validation of deliverable 3

 

Required Presentation of Offer: 

The following documents are required to be submitted:

  • Personal CV and P11, indicating all past experience from similar projects, as well as the contact details (email and telephone number) of the Offeror and at least three (3) professional references;
  • Brief description of why the individual considers him/herself as the most suitable for the assignment
  • Technical proposal, a max. 2-page document briefly outlining the methodology envisaged for the assignment for delivering the expected results within the indicated timeframe.
  • Financial proposal, that indicates lump sum payment based on deliverables.
  • Copy of Diplomas and copy of Passport or National ID Card. 

Criteria for selection of the Best Offer

Offers will be evaluated utilizing a combined Scoring method – where the qualifications and technical proposal will be weighted a max. of 70% and combined with the price offer which will be weighted a max of 30%.

Required Skills and Experience
Education:

  • Master’s degree in a related subject including management, communications, social sciences, or development studies is required.

Experience:

  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in the area of corporate trainings and facilitation with the emphasis on improving team effectiveness and team building.
  • Proven experience in conducting assignments of similar complexity.
  • History of performance excellence in corporate trainings and facilitation with the emphasis on team effectiveness and team building.
  • Excellent Communication and Analytical Skills.
  • Excellent Delivery Skills.

Language requirements:

  • Fluency in English language.
  • Knowledge of Albanian and/or Serbian is considered an asset.
