Call for expressions of interest 

The GIZ project Sustainable Municipal Services" commissioned by German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and co-funded by the European Union invites qualified companies to submit expression of interest in providing consultancy services to develop and implement an event management and public relations strategy for the 5th edition of the Kosovo's Sustainable Development Week, that is planned to be held from 31st of May until 10th of June 2022. 

Kosovo Sustainable Development Week (KSDW) is a joint initiative of a group local and international stakeholders and aims to develop and further incentivise the implementation of the Green Agenda in Kosovo and the region through monitoring mechanisms, high-level open discussions and awareness raising measures. KSDW continues to be the biggest event on sustainable development in Kosovo, attracting high participation and media coverage. While aiming to highlight topics, solutions and activities that promote sustainable development in the region, the conference will bring in a single space high level representative of Western Balkans Governments, experts on the field, decision-makers, and civil society representatives from the region

KSDW 2022 will focus on the pillars covered by the Green Agenda for the Western Balkans and current social, economic, and environmental problems that are of high public interest as part of this agreement. The main goal of it is that through joint action to facilitate and support a faster advancement of the objectives agreed under the Green Agenda for the whole region. The fifth edition of KSDW which will take place in Kosovo will be organized by the Ministry of Economy (ME), Ministry of Environment, Spatial Planning and Infrastructure (MESPI), Ministry of Regional Development (MRD), Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Development (MAFRD), European Union Special Representative (EUSR) in Kosovo, Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, Kosovo, Institute for Development Policy - INDEP and Balkan Green Foundation – BGF. 

The consultancy is expected to cover the whole management and public relations of the event. Based on the outcome of offers, GIZ/SMS project will offer a framework contract to the selected company. Please note that all correspondence and dealing with the GIZ must be in English language. 


1) Proof of company's legal status (registration and/or certification documentation), company details (name, postal address bank information etc.), date of incorporation within their initial response. 

2) References that prove at least 5 years of experience in event management and public relations in Kosovo

3) References that prove at least 3 years of experience in event management and public relations in the region (Europe, WB6). 

4) At least 3 references of comparable services, specifically in event management and public relations strategy development and implementation.
