Position Summary

Amentum is seeking a Deputy Chief of Party (DCOP) in Kosovo for the anticipated U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID)-funded Critical Infrastructure Resilience Activity. The Critical Infrastructure Resilience Activity will be a 5-year program that will work to protect Kosovo’s critical infrastructure by building capacity in responsible institutions to become more resilient against cyber-attacks and mitigate the effects of climate change on the country’s infrastructure to extreme weather seasonality and unpredictability.

Responsibilities

The Deputy Chief of Party (DCOP) will support the Chief of Party (COP) with strategic leadership and oversight of the activity. Specific responsibilities include:

  • Support the COP with regard to day-to-day implementation and management matters relating to the contract;
  • Serve as the primary interface with the home office to coordinate HR, finance, and operational issues related to the contract;
  • Oversee all Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) activities and the development of all program reports;
  • Ensure that all assistance provided under the contract is technically sound and appropriate for the needs to be addressed;
  • Provide support for the successful planning, execution, monitoring, control, and contract closure of the project.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 12 years of progressive management experience, including at least 10 years of experience with USAID programming;
  • Knowledge of USAID policies, procedures, and reporting;
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher;
  • Experience managing program operations, HR, and program compliance;
  • Supervisory experience of long-term field staff and short-term international technical assistance, third country, and/or local experts;
  • Written and oral proficiency in English is required.
